I want to love, love these shoes. BUT... They are great and super comfortable, but for my foot, it has taken a bit to get used to. These are the only shoes I have purchased that have not yet fit my foot upon initial fitting and break in. I don't have an odd foot or other issues so I am stunned these are not the perfect fit I was expecting. I tried three different styles of Hoka before I found this one that actually felt OK and thought I could work thru the initial discomfort. I am a 2 months in and doing about 15 miles a week of walking on hard surfaces with these shoes. The sole feels great and I feel as though it grips on any mix of surface, wet or dry.

The Clifton 8 is superb. It is good for folks that like a more spongy, soft, forgiving landing and makes an excellent training shoe good for a wide variety of distances.
